Geotechnical and Ground Engineering

Geotechnical and Ground Engineering

Site Analytical Services   offer comprehensive ground investigation services, including scoping, design, implementation, and supervision. Our services cover soil and rock logging, sampling, in-situ and laboratory testing, monitoring, and both factual and interpretive reporting. Utilizing our in-house expertise and a network of approved suppliers, we provide a full range of ground investigation techniques tailored to site access requirements, ground conditions, and proposed structures.

We can provide an assessment of geotechnical risks, determination of characteristic geotechnical parameter values, evaluation of foundation options, preliminary and detailed calculations for bearing capacity and design recommendations for floor slabs, highways, SuDS, slopes, and earth-retaining structures.

Putting Our Experience to Work for You

We provide CBR and plate load testing as part of our comprehensive ground investigation package for clients needing detailed information on formation materials. Our testing service can assess the modulus of subgrade reaction, CBR value, or the vertical deformation and strength characteristics of soils, sub-base materials, fills, or piling mats, aiding in structural design or end-product verification.

Geotechnical Concerns

Our investigations can be tailored to focus exclusively on geotechnical concerns, solely on contaminated land issues, or, as is more commonly the case, address both critical aspects of the development process. By integrating geotechnical and geoenvironmental assessments, we eliminate the need for redundant work and the added expense of conducting separate investigations.
